Excited to report a new venue for my educational blogging:  the Accomplished Teachers Network (ACT) group blog!  Here is some info about ACT:

“Accomplished California Teachers is a new teacher leadership network for the state of California.  We are funded by the Stuart Foundation, and housed under the umbrella of the School of Education at Stanford University.  Our mission is to amplify teacher voice in educational policy and research, while providing our members with resources and support to become more effective leaders at every level – from their department or school right on up to state and national initiatives.”

Our new website is on its way in the spring of 2010.  For now, you can learn more about us or keep in touch through:

Part of being a National Board Certified teacher is to continue growing as a professional, and sharing that growth with your students and the community.  I can think of fewer better ways to do this than to interact with accomplished teachers, such as those found in this educational community.  I hope to share my point of view as a teacher in an urban school, and how the ed policies being debated today will affect my classroom and my school.  Check this blog for updates, or follow us using any of the social media listed above.  Thanks for visiting!
